Wedding Caterers
One of the most important decisions of your planning process will be choosing your wedding caterer then selecting which food to serve your guests. Guests will always remember the food served at an event, hopefully for the right reason! Choose carefully and keep in close contact with your caterer. Always taste test the food and play around with the china, glassware and linen. Some venues have in house catering and do not permit outside caterers- or require additional fees for use of outside catering.

To save on catering fees, cut out the dessert course and serve wedding cake instead. This is also a great way to get your guests to enjoy a slice of the wedding cake. After a three course meal with dessert, many guests pass on the wedding cake and that beautiful cake goes to waste. Always serve local and seasonal food and remember to ask your vendors about wedding day meal requirements.

As it comes closer to the wedding day, you’ll want to speak to your caterer about waiting service, napkin folds, alcoholic beverages to be served, restrictions on open bars, leaving wine on the table vs staff topping up, and of course furnishing them with a final headcount and dietary restrictions.
